Sherlyn Chopra known as Mona Chopra is an Indian model, singer and actress. She became the first Indian model to pose nude on the cover of Playboy magazine in 2012.
Early life Chopra was born in Hyderabad to a Muslim mother and Christian father.. She attended Stanley Girls High School and Saint Ann's College for Women in Mehdipatnam. It was during college[when?] that she entered and won Miss Andhra, a local beauty pageant.
Chopra's early acting career consisted of roles in minor Bollywood films. She appeared in movies such as Time Pass, Red Swastik and Game. She made her Telugu film debut in A film By Aravind. Chopra was also a contestant on Bigg Boss. She was evicted from the show on Day 27. She was the first Indian woman to pose nude for Playboy magazine, which raised significant controversy.

Sherlyn Chopra, 28, caused outrage after tweeting some pictures from the photoshoot which will be in the November issue. The magazine is banned in India but can be accessed on the internet.
The 28-year-old actress admitted it was “not easy” to pose for the shoot but explained that she could not “miss the opportunity of posing nude for the world’s most established adult magazine”.
Playboy founder Hugh Hefner has confirmed in a tweet that Sherlyn will appear in the magazine’s November issue.
India is not only battling an epidemic of sex crimes against women, but also finding it increasingly difficult to comfortably integrate Western moral standards with Indian traditions in an increasingly globalized world.
Columnists have dismissed her as a C-list actress while others have laid a more serious charge, pointing that India is already struggling to control an epidemic of sex crimes.
A number of grassroots women’s activists in Delhi are calling for the India government to bar the selling of the upcoming issue that will have the first Indian woman on the cover.
The groups, who have yet to go public with their demands, met in the upscale Jor Bagh neighborhood on Wednesday, with some 25 women attending.
They are to voice their frustration at Sherlyn Chopra going full nude, leaving nothing to the imagination, in a recent shoot for American adult magazine Playboy.
But in India, where women are often sexualized and objectified, women say, the photo shoot will do more harm than good for the country.
